"This hotel is close to downtown Catania (about 2 km walk). We were able to choose between a room downstairs or a suite upstairs. We chose the suite because it had a small kitchen and a private terrace. You have to take fairly narrow spiral staircase to get upstairs but this was not a problem for us. "Great location. Room and bathroom were large and clean. Bring your own toiletries - toothpaste, etc. This is more of a bed and breakfast. Andrea was very helpful and friendly. Please keep in mind that there is no lift, and accessing rooms requires taking 2 sets of stairs. Andrea was helpful with our luggage when we arrived, but he was not there when we departed so we had to take luggage down ourselves. If you are a light sleeper you should be travelling with earplugs; motorbikes in the night could get a little noisy. I'm sure that's an issue everywhere if you are closer to a roadway."
