"We had an amazing exotically decorated suite with a lounge, bedroom, large bathroom with bath and walk in shower and a separate toilet. The large indoor plants in the lounge gave a jungle effect and it was nice to be able to open the double doors to the Juliet balcony to look over the rooftops of the 5th arrondissement, especially at dawn and sunset. "We arrived at the Gar de Lyon just before midnight after a train trip from Venice and were welcomed and granted a late checkout the next day. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the station. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice bathroom and USB charging ports for devices. "The breakfast was fresh and plentiful, the staff was amazing and spoke very good English, they knew my name and used it appropriately. The room was a little small and I didn't care the the location of the bathroom, bet it was clean and the air conditioning worked well but the mini fridge wasn't very cold and there were only 2 ice machines for the entire hotel with no scoop for the ice located on floor 6 and 16. Marriott is an American Hotel, and Americans like ice. "

"Wir haben das Hotel aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen gewählt. Leider haben einige Punkte nicht unsere Erwartungen erfüllt. Wir haben Deluxe Zimmer gebucht. Die Zimmer sind eher sehr klein, man konnte gerade eben um das Bett herum gehen. Die Wände, Türen, Türrahmen, Fensterrahmen und Fußleisten sind in einer einheitlichen Farbe gestrichen (bei uns war es mossgrün), was das Zimmer sehr dunkel erscheinen lässt.
