We planned our trip specifically to stay at Nakoma. We love how accessible the hotel is! Staff were very accommodating and responsive. My husband and I had a great time biking and an even better time relaxing at the pool with the full bar and snacks!

The staff service was excellent! The staff allowed us to use the coffee/tea area to eat our take-out food and even provided paper plates. They also accommodated our request for a late check-out.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Did not appreciate the strong fragrance used in the cleaning or laundry products which made my eyes swell. There was one small window to open to try to dissipate.The description did not indicate restaurant closures, so no breakfast was available without a significant drive.

Great place to getaway from it all

Took my little kids for a snow trip. It was wonderful up there. Lots to do, great rooms, service, food and lots to do for me and the kids. Can’t wait to come back during the spring or fall and play some golf. Great stay!!

Beautiful area and lodge. The pool is real nice but you can’t bring your own drinks or food. If you are looking for a quiet pool, this is not the place since families bring their kids. Albeit, the kids had good manners (no screaming). Lodge room was clean and quiet which was nice.

Our two nights stay was lovely. Carol and her staff are so accommodating and gracious! Dinner at restaurant Fifty44 was a fine dining experience to be sure! We received excellent and friendly service from Hannah, who didn't miss a beat and was fun to talk with. Our dinners were delicious! The mountain sunset was incredible! We're going back in March for the Plumas Ski Club World Championship Longboard Races!

Disappointed historic restaurant on site was not open (I think due to staffing issues...) but otherwise our stay was perfect. For dinner we ate in the bar and had yummy "small bites" instead of a full-on dinner. Great food and service. Very friendly!! Thye are putting in a coffee place with a market which will be a nice addition, since it is a rather remote location. We will be going back!!

The resort was completely shut down and the check in was a bit confusing. Then, there is no tv guide, no heater, no HAIRDRYER, and no breakfast!! The ad we chose definitely said breakfast!! Then, we go to the resort, which we had to pay a resort fee even tho we had no intention of using the facilities, there was no cook!!! I will say the lovely lady that waited on us was very proactive in getting someone in to cook our breakfast right away it was just a little discerning that we’re paying over $400 to sleep and cannot even get room service. I DI NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESORT!

Awesome hotel in an amazing place. Restaurant is great. However, we had a poor check-in experience with the older woman at the front desk - bad way to start the stay off. Additionally, the hotel mis-billed us by over $500. We are working to rectify this now and I’m sure we will solve it, but that was big mistake.
