"Good hotel and great location. Unfortunately due to their alcohol license, the bar doesn’t open until 3.00pm which I found irritating as I invited a few guests to join me for a drink at 12.00pm. After a conversation with a member of staff who went and spoke to the manager they opened the bar and served me. They should mention this on their website about bar opening times. Apart from the bar opening issue the hotel is good and great location."

"We were met by very friendly staff and made our way to our room. It was well proportioned and fine for one night, but a bit snug for a family of four for any longer. Unfortunately there was an overwhelming smell of drains in the bathroom, but we arrived late at night and were just keen to get to bed so didn’t request another room etc. Only when getting in to the sofa bed did we realise it had only one single sized duvet for two people to share. Again, it was late and we didn’t contact reception for another. The breakfast was great - good choice and beautifully fresh. Friendly staff of breakfast duty, though we did end up with rather a lot of dishes piled up and would have appreciated them cleared away as we were finished with them. The swimming pool was fine - we had a quick swim and it put in the morning before heading off. The area does seem really tired, in need of proper repairs and a general freshen up. Overall, I would return."

"It was a pleasant stay with friendly staff, you make your own breakfast there a variety of cereals and toast, croissants. Wifi available and the b&b is close to town centre.. I will definitely go back. "

"The rooms were very large, the ensuite was clean and toiletries were provided. The only suggestion would be for the floorboards in the room above Sopwell (ground floor) to be screwed down as these were squeaky when the occupant in the room above was moving around which woke us up as the squeaks were quite loud. The free parking was great and the system was easy to use, the instructions sent prior to arrival were clear for the check-in and checkout process. "
