"The room was very spacious and clean. The staff were also really nice and even did a wash load of clothes for us for $10. There was an appropriately sized television, toiletries, and unlimited tea and coffee by a kettle. in terms of the area it was down a street with rats, although there was rats everywhere in Colombo. "This historically significant property is an absolute gem of a boutique hotel in the midst of Colombo. The restaurant is also wonderful, Such a surprise as we found it randomly and had no idea that it was the former prime minister's house and that Charles and Camilla had stayed there. Our room next to the beautiful courtyard pool had a four poster and a private terrace and a huge gorgeous modern bathroom. It is an old house but the decor is v. cool! So much so that they have a chain of shops...
