The Grand Palace hotel was closed for around one year for a complete refurbishment. It only re-opened in April.
The result is very nice hotel indeed which for me is ideally situated very close to Fincantieri where I do business and close to the town.
It has an interesting wine bar for a restaurant. The food and wine are excellent and very reasonably price The staff are extremely polite and helpful.
The only downside is parking. There is a very small underground car park and the staff will...

Very tricky to negotiate the one-way system, so we were delighted to be rescued by reception staff who 'talked us down'! And these same staff continued to be extremely helpful throughout our stay. Nothing too much trouble. The valet car service was most convenient. We will be recommending to friends and family.

This is a unique and quirky site, stylishly converted into a comfortable hotel that works really well. Staff were friendly and efficient, food was good quality and good value. I wish I'd been able to stay longer and make use of all the facilities.
