staff are so friendly. clean room and the location is perfect. highly recommended for families traveling too. we enjoyed our stay here. we would definitely come back.
We had a fantastic stay here, it's close to public transport and there is a supermarket walking distance. The staff were all so helpful and it has every amenity you need, as well as a comfortavle, relaxed vibe.
Really enjoyed my time at A&O. Reasonable space in room and washroom, good common area, and staff was helpful in loaning me a wall adaptor. Would stay again.
You can stay here in a bunk room but I choose a double room which was very clean with a good bathroom. Nice bar and entertainment area downstairs. It’s a hotel mainly for backpackers but not noisy and the location suited me perfectly.

Great hostel, good location for exploring Copenhagen. Only draw back was size of kitchen, way too small for hostel size.
Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable beds and bedding. Great location a short train ride from the centre. 25minute walk to Carlsberg Brewery and Vega. Bikes are in good condition and a fairly reasonable 150DKK.if in Copenhagen again will most likely stay again.
Lovely 3 night stay with breakfast included. Staff were welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Good facilities and well maintained rooms and common areas. An hrs walk or 20min cycle from the centre but also close to an underground station. Can recommend this hostel for your stay in Copenhagen.
Fab location easy walk 5 mins to station 5 mins to central city centre by dot.trains. property staff greet clean quiet. In heat bring a fan as rooms stayed hot

Decent place to visit Copenhagen
Close to a metro station to get to central Copenhagen. Very reasonably priced, however, not clean at all. There were many long black hairs on the floor and I killed a bug as soon as I walked in. The kitchen facilities were not kept clean by the guests. Close to restaurants and multiple grocery stores.
Another pleasant visit to A&O in Sydenham :) This is our port of call when we visit our family in Sluseholmen - we only use it to sleep in so we’re happy that it’s a hostel with no frills as it keeps the price down.
It’s clean & beds are comfortable, we always sleep well. There’s no automatic room cleaning now so you have to request it if you want it. When you want a change of towels/bed linen you can collect at reception. There’s no wardrobes only a coat stand with a few coat hangers & metal tall shelving unit. There no AC or ceiling fan - but we’ve been there in all seasons & not noticed a problem with temp. There’s a hairdryer in bathroom with shower gel. The shower is easy to operate & we’ve always had hot water with good water pressure.
There’s a new Metro that’s recently opened that will get you into the city centre in a few stops. We downloaded the app Rejsekort which is super easy to use & it’s cheap to travel the metro. (even cheaper if you’re a pensioner ;)
There’s a continental style self service breakfast for around £10 pp.
There’s parking on site for a charge paid at reception. If you want luxury and pampering this is not for you but it suits our purpose which is why we return.
Staff was Nice. Unfortunately rooms were not clean at all. Toilet was disgusting. Walls and mirrors had grease on Them. We were 3 and only 2 beds were made. We found food trash in one of the beds
This is a good hostel - we’ve stayed here a few times when visiting family in Sluseholmen. Its reasonable price is how I’ve reviewed accommodation. It’s basic but clean & comfortable. We sleep well. No wardrobe just a metal shelving unit & a few coat hangers. Clean white linen/ towels. TV but sadly no English channels. Shower/shampoo gel & hairdryer. If you want room cleaning you have to request it. You can also obtain clean linen & towels at reception. There’s a car park on site that you pay for & cycles to hire. Breakfast is £10 -continental style -including boiled eggs, cereal, yoghurt, fresh rolls, toast & jam, juice, coffee, cheese, ham, salad.
There’s a new Metro about 10min walk - need an Oyster type card to travel on - 4 stops to Centre & 6 stops to Nyhavn approx £2.50 one way.
Also a mainline train station Syd Havn (South Harbour) 3min walk.
A few cafes within walking distance.
We’ve always found it feels a safe area.
We stay here regularly as a place to sleep as daytimes spend time at our sons’s home in Sluseholmen :)
It’s clean & pleasant here..white linen and we get a good nights sleep as we like the beds..not sumptuous but comfortable for us :) We’ve never had a disturbed night.
There’s no kettle or mini fridge. There’s shower gel & hairdryer. This time it appears they’ve changed cleaning routine..I’d never been sure when they come in to clean..but when they do they seem to just empty bins & towels, however if want clean towels & bedding all you do is ask at reception for it. It suits us.
You can park in the carpark .not sure of cost. Friday & Sat eves, there’s music & karaoke in bar area. They do breakfast if you want it - mostly continual but you can get warm boiled eggs and there’s pancakes.
I must say we l’ve had a problem with waiting times at Reception the last 2 visits....appears there’s only one person covering reception & bar a lot of the time ..management need to address that.
We’ve stayed here a couple of times..it’s a 15min walk back into Sluseholmen where our son lives and 2min walk to rail station to get into centre of Copenhagen. A couple of lovely close by cafes. In my view it’s an up market Hostel type hotel. Both times we’ve stayed in a family quad room (as it was cheaper than a double). We’ve stayed in summer & winter and both times the room was a comfortable temp although if it’s really hot there is no aircon or ceiling fan. There’s a wall tv but only Danish stations, sometime BBC news. The towels and bedding are white, clean and lovely. There’s shower gel etc & hairdryer. Both times we’ve not had noisy neighbours :). You can pay for breakfast, it’s self service, mostly continental..plus boiled eggs, toast, freshly baked rolls and pancakes. Approx £12 pp. We like it there
but we only use it for sleeping in as we spend daytime at our son’s place :) It’s a good price, clean, tidy & comfortable -quick check in - and a bar to buy drinks/food at reasonable prices ..what’s not to like :)
Our hotel/hostel of choice when we visit our family in Sluseholmen. My review is based on its excellent value for money. If you like more luxurious accommodation then it may not be for you. We only use it for sleeping in as we spend daytime at our son’s appointment. The room has no tea making equip or mini fridge. There is shower gel & hairdryer. We’ve stayed in quad rooms which is a bunk bed and two single beds pushed together like a double bed - and also a double room which had two single beds on each side of the room. There’s no wardrobe, just some coat hangers on rack. The bed linen is clean & crisp and white towels. They don’t change bed linen/ towels - you’re welcome to ask at reception for clean linen when required. Housekeeping do pop in sometimes to replenish toilet roll/ empty bins. Breakfast is paid separately- and I’d call it Continental - including warm boiled eggs - toast - pancakes -fresh rolls - cereal -yoghurt hit drinks & fruit juices.
It suits us :)
