"The pool needed booking a slot. When I tried to go it was fully booked. The reason we chose this hotel was the pool in case my daughter wanted to swim. She couldn't. There is also a charge for the pool even is staying here which I thought was crazy. Nothing going on in the bar and was one of the worst pints I have ever had. Breakfast was mediocre. The location and price were great. "

"The room looked as it had been refurbished recently, but not quite finished. The plastic around the divans was still on, but ripped. The bedding was absolutely fine and clean though. The shower room is one I always think is important and in room 17 slightly lets it down, but all points are easily addressed. The toilet seat was loose, the shower gel pack had come off the wall and was empty anyway, and the the shower head wouldn’t tighten on the riser rail so just fell to the bottom of the rail. As I say these are relatively minor points and easily fixed, and would have improved my rating of 4 to 5."

"The hotel needs extensive updating. Yes probably 100 years ago it was exclusive and upmarket. And yes the Queen and many famous people stayed, But they wouldn’t step foot inside now as it’s so run down. If the hotel had a refurb it would be amazing but unfortunately it’s very dated. The room was like going back in time 50 years ago everything including furniture and TV was so old. It’s not cheap to stay either we could have stayed at Hampton Hilton for cheaper. However on the positive side Breakfast was very nice. Was disappointed had to pay £14 to park vehicle in the hotel car park overnight also."

"The room was so nice and the staff were really friendly. The food was okay but there was only certain times that we could eat as it was included in the property. Car parking is a nightmare and couldn't find a suitable place to park and ended up getting a ticket. "

"Room had no heating, so double bed felt damp, bathroom was about 3x8ft long, with a sink in middle meanig you had to sidle to loo, and there was no way the shower door was going to close once in. Hallways must have been hoovered 6 months ago, although the room was clean, tv didnt work and had no wifi reception i room"
