Disappointing.

The Lodge is okay if you're not planning to spend much time indoors. Although relatively clean, it has a tired interior, that is poorly maintained, and not as polished as depicted in pictures. The carpet was filthy, the shower leaked and there is mould and mildew growing in the bathroom. There were ants in the kitchen and woodlice in the bathroom. It is next to a busy and noisy A road and no soundproofing - so if you're a light sleeper, you won't get much. The baby bath provided was dirty, no baby cot was provided despite being requested. We left early. Overall, we were very disappointing as you would want somewhere we're paying to stay in to be cleaner than our home. Unfortunately, this place does not meet those standards

Lovely little place with great potential, but let down by the mattress and the disappointing pillows. Also there was a family staying in the property above which sounded like a small herd of elephants pacing around - very hard to fall asleep to at midnight. Could let them off some of this stuff, but the response to comms was very poor: WiFi didn’t work and messages and emails weren’t replied to - had to phone up two numbers before getting through to someone. At least it wasn’t for anything serious. The host was around to help around so I had to go upstairs and find the router myself to plug in in the apartment above. (Who told me about the fire alarm going off in the night …sure enough, at 5:30 it was wake up time for all of us, the joy)

The Lodge

An amazing accommodation, very well placed for visits to Bath and surrounding areas. Comfy bed aids a great night sleep and is clean and dust free, this accommodation also boasts a great fully equipped kitchen. I will definitely be returning.

sd visit made saddre by accomadation

This was a sad visit, accomadation for 4 one dinner plate, the table had room for 2 if moved except you are asked not to move furniture, pots & pans unusable basdly scrapped and battered. a grill pan handle no pan to use, the lampshadse by bed had seen much happier times the top layer was ripped in plces, bathroom bare nails hanging towels ragged with holes 1 small wardrobe made smaller by large heater stored, we understood could be a few problems with the situation but ther was very little attention to detail clearly noone had checked the pots/pans bathroom or the bedside lamp fit for throwing away, when we called on friday asking for plates told they would be there in the morning nothing called again with dissapointment told we could have other pans if we wished, at that my husband said we are leaving due to lack of any concern we were unhappy.

The Lodge

Wow! This stay ticked all the boxes. Clean and airy apartment that feel like home, it has everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and has adequate room andca descent size table. A really nice place to stay, and the communication before and during my stay from the owner was outstanding. Ticks every box.
