"The staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable with clean linens.
However, the quality of the facility has deteriorated immensely, from previous stays.
The rooms have damage that needs to addressed, not just covered up.
The pool area is absolutely horrid. The pool itself is average and the kids had fun with the water slide. However, the ceiling still isn’t fixed from previous stays and appears to be a perfect spot for mold to accumulate.
The stairs going up to the slide are rusty and damaged, wearing away in spots that will certainly become hazardous, if they haven’t already.
There are no warnings posted or enforced regarding the safety of the water slide. The older children had very little, if any, supervision by parents/family members and the staff wasn’t concerned. The kids were not being safe, including standing while going down the slide, racing up and down the steps and somehow causing the water to forcibly overflow from the top, creating obvious sources of danger for the younger children below. I even spoke with the older kids and asked them to be aware of the safety concerns they were causing.
I have photos of some of the visible damage that I would be happy to share here and will be posting to the Day’s Inn site for review.
I would not recommend the facility to anyone until the issues are addressed. The company should be very concerned for the patrons’ safety.
