Rustic, charming, cozy, but perhaps a bit run down. The owner and her personnel were super nice and made us feel very welcome.

Relax e comfort

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa struttura perché avevamo visto che c'era una piccola piscina. Camere particolari e molto carine, con grande cura dei dettagli! Esternamente ci sono dei tavolini dove si può fare colazione e cenare, ma questa solo su richiesta. È stato molto piacevole fare colazione in mezzo alle candele, ai fiori e alle piante arrampicanti, tutto con uno stile molto naturale! La consiglierei anche per la posizione, ottima per visitare i paesi vicini!

Historic Villa Stay

We had a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the front courtyard. The hotel was a little difficult to find but once there it is quite nice and Claudia, the owner, is friendly and helpful. Not really walking distance to the historic area of Cortona but if you have a car it is ideal.

Charming hotel in Cortona

beautiful location on the outskirts of Cortona, probably a bit far to walk but 5 minute drive or 10 euro taxi if you want to go into town for dinner. Fantastic gardens surround the property and are the main selling point. Very relaxing and you really feel like you are in the Tuscan countryside despite being so close to town. Our room was very beautiful with frescoed walls, wooden floors and beamed ceiling. A Tuscan dream!

The decor

The decor was what drove us to this place. Sooo avant-garde. Colorful & fun, an exact complement to our host, Claudia. We (3 women from NY) loved it. It was the last leg of our Tuscan journey. I would recommend it to all. As a central point to travel through Tuscany or as we did, a conclusion to an 11 day odyssey. Claudia & her parents were our compass in Tuscany or paradise, however you see it. We loved it all & Italy loved us. My advise is to let your Italian out!

wondeful bed & breakfast

the room was wide and very confortable. the place is awesome, very close to the town of Cortona, although you need a car to reach the centre. Breakfast is delicious. The landlady is very nice. The swimming pool is small but very relaxing.

Lovely Stay

I had a very lovely stay at the B&B. Claudia, the owner was very helpful and accommodating. She prepared a wonderful and delicious supper for the guests on my last evening which was very convenient as I didn't have to leave the B&B to find dinner. The room I was given had a queen bed and was clean and more up to date than the rest of the B&B. Garden and pool was lovely to have but I felt the grounds were in need of a gardener to clean up the dead leaves and keep the garden neat. Some updating required replacing old sofa in reception area. Continental breakfast was varied and fresh. Only draw back was the long 45 min. walk up the hill to Cortona but taxi service was readily available.

Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf, mooie kamers, verzorgt ontbijt en heerlijk diner door Claudia bereidt. Maar ook zijn er heerlijke restaurantjes vlakbij in Cortona. Goede ligging om Umbrië te verkennen (Assisi, Perugia, Arezzo, Lago de Trasimeno,…. Misschien tip, wij misten wel een kleine koelkast op de kamer (zeker als het warm is).Appartementen hebben deze wel in de kitchenette.

Quirky and delightful

We had a three night stay in Cortona. We had some difficulty finding the hotel and the parking at the rear. You do need your car to get into the town centre from Sodo. The courtyard and outlook was delightful. I will certainly ask for the balcony room next time. Breakfast was great and the hostess was charming. The décor is personal and quirky and for us that was also great and added to the interest. Do take a anti mosquito plug in , my wife suffered several bites.

Sonno e colazione da re...a due passi da Cortona

Io e mio marito abbiamo dormito una notte in questo B&B...che dire, tranquillissimo, molto carino, le stanze pulitissime e la colazione ottima e abbondante. Unico neo il parcheggio, un po' distante. Per il resto consigliatissimo se volete visitare Cortona e dintorni!
