"Everything was splendid but I have a complaint of them not having warm water option in their pool, cause in cold weather, the water is cold and so we couldn't enjoy the pool as we wanted, so they should've this option like other places. "

"It was a wonderful experience overall. The staff were very kind, the food was excellent (though expensive, which we expected for Cox’s Bazar), and we appreciated the free car service. We also didn’t face any hidden charges. However, we had one concerning incident during housekeeping. On the second day, my wife left her foundation makeup on the table before we went to the beach. When we returned, the room had been cleaned and some items had clearly been moved around. The foundation box was missing. We are not accusing anyone we don’t have proof of theft but the item went missing from a locked room and only after housekeeping, which was upsetting and confusing (especially since other more expensive items were left untouched). We hope management takes this seriously and improves housekeeping accountability so future guests don’t face the same issue. Overall, we had a great stay, but this incident left a bad impression."

"I was shown 2 switches one for DO NOT DISTURB and Other for ROOM CLEANING, shoud i need any i should turn the switch on. I did not turn any of them on, as i came back from outside i found my bed was done up and realised some one has been into the room. As i was not expecting anyone to come in to the room while i was out, i had left all my belonings in the room scatterd. I felt my privacy had been invaded so i told the reception staff and he said i should have put the do not disturd switch on if i did not want the room cleaning. I was not satisfied with the management answer and service."

"Our stay at Mermaid Eco Resort was nowhere near a plain sailing. I booked a Studio room called LAKE OSHO. We were visiting during the late monsoon & it was drizzling all day. There was no electricity (because of a phase to ground fault of local electrical line) for a prolonged time from the get go. Even after the power was restored, it didn’t remain seamless. The generator backup was laughable & I might be wrong but didn’t see it in action. The ventilation fan of the washroom was inoperable. The bed & pillows were musty. The Air Conditioning (GREE model) had water droplet leakage as well. I have adjusted the settings to operate at optimum 26 degree celsius in ECO mode. But there were no remedies. I must say it only worked once but no such luck later on. The only good part about this resort was their food. They didn’t have a plethora of recipes or, dishes to offer. But it was tasty & fresh upon being served. The buffet breakfast had minimal items but everything was delicious. The room service & guys at the desk were cooperative. It wasn’t excellent but nice & decent. They must really improve on everything they have to offer. This place has a potential but is underutilized. Verdict: If your wallet is not on a strong diet, try the Beach Resort instead. You will be in for a treat."
