This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. There should be some minimum requirements to have a hotel posted through hotelsdotcom.

Cheap, but not worth a stay

The check-in process was horrible. The lady at the desk kept going back and forth between the office and some back room. It took about a half hour just to check in and I was late for dinner. She just gave me a room key and mumbled the room number. I could barely understand anything she was saying. The room itself was clean, but had a strong, musty odor. The air conditioner was set to 60 degrees, but did not cool down the room at all. The room was oddly set up with a random closest that contained a mattress and random odds and ends. The shower was very dark and had the feel of a prison cell. The bed was OK and since there was at least a working fridge and microwave, I'll give them two stars instead of one.

Manager "mark" (if that's his real name) was rude and disrespectful. Unorganized and worst stay ever!!!

Great place to stay!

We were hesitant because of the reviews and low price, but I must say those reviews were way off in our opinion!! The room was old & dated but it was very roomy, bright, very clean, the bed was super comfortable and great shower with good hot water!! If you need 'rich & classy' then I suppose it's not for you. We will keep this place in mind for next trip that direction!! We dropped off the key and thanked them for our comfortable stay.

Smart

This hotel is not worth for $60. Max we can pay for this hotel is $40. I was OK but my kid and wife were not comfortable in the room. It took half night for them to adjust. There was some smell in the room. Management was good and friendly.

A REFRESHING PLACE TO STAY

Check in was very pleasant and the on-duty staffer very friendly .. the place was quiet and the room very comfortable .. conveniently located near food and shopping which I needed .. it provided the very basic, a place to sleep, which is all I needed .. I think most people rate this place in comparison to "Hotels" .. this is not a hotel by any means .. a decent "Motel" where a weary travel to can rest up for a day or two before moving on .. I could complain about the older model TV but I didn't stop to watch TV either and for the area, the price was great

Nice hotel closer to the shops and restaurants

I have a pleasant experience at this hotel the staff is so polite and always trying to help and make you feel confortable. I definetely recommend this place to my family and friends.

Decent for an old hotel

The owners are very nice. The bathroom was pretty clean for an old structure. The sheets were clean. The grounds kept up. It was acceptable for the price.

Very Disappointed!!

I booked an upcoming room for a last minute arrangement. I wanted to book the Baymont which is about 15mins up the road from this motel. The woman from hotels.com stated that this hotel was actually better then the Baymont so I grabbed it seeing as I had to be there within the next few hours and couldn't sleep in the car with my kids and boyfriend. Seeing the name "Hilton" made me think well this is going to be great, but boy was I wrong. The neighborhood was ok. The room was a decent size. Surprisingly the bed was really soft. Flying roaches in and around the room. The bathroom and room furniture could use a MAJOR update. There wasn't a tub so I couldn't give my 8month old a bath and there wasn't room around the sink to do it either. The bathroom looked as if it hadn't been updated since the 70's. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone nor would I stay there again.

At arrival, the reception didn´t open the door for us to entrance.The receptionist talked with us thru a hole in the door! Sheets where dirty. Air condition poor and loud. For the price - a ripp off!

i have spent a night alone in downtown birmingham al without any form of weaponry and it was a cake walk compared to the trash i stayed in friday night. worst.

Fair rates, good location

Comfortable, clean. Aged hotel, but not unclean by an standard. Good hotel for what it needed to be: a nice stopover.
