"To start with, no check in information was sent to me before I arrived. When I arrived I couldn't get hold of the owner as he wasn't answering his phone and didn't have the curtesy to reply to the several messages I left, both in the form of answer phone and text. I had to contact Hotels.com via the online chat. Eventually one of the owners employees phoned me and said he would come and let me in. Once in the property, things didn't really improve. "This is a fabulous hotel in all aspects but I must mention the excellent breakfast in particular. So much choice and delicious. Modern environment with lots of space and high quality furnishings. Individual rooms are original and fully equipped. Our new favourite in Leicester. Good price too. Love it. Staff are really nice and friendly."

"Large, spacious hotel, staff were friendly. Room wasn’t the quietest, could hear neighbouring rooms’ toilets flushing, hairdryers being used and doors banging. Did put a request on our booking that was ignored and were charged a ‘service charge’ without my permission on a food order I made at the bar on some light bites, so basically paid nearly £5 for someone to bring it from the kitchen!"

"Good point - very good location, very nice breakfast and a comfortable room with a bed enough for 3-4 people. Minus - they don't have their own parking, but you can park near the public parking at Gatecross for £6 24 hours using the hotel discount. If you are travelling with a disabled person, there is disabled car parking at the hotel where you can park your car as long as you have a blue badge. They never told us that there is a disabled car park in front of the hotel - we came to know only after two or three days. Overall, we had a good stay, but it could have been excellent if we had known there was accessible parking for disabled guests at the hotel."

"The staff were really helpful. I was placed near the stairs and much later on in the night, it was really noisy and the doors banged loudly. I had already have my review stating it was quite which was incorrect. I think having to pay £10 to use the amenities was a bit too much. I didn't get to do much as we had a busy schedule. The conference rooms need an upgrade as it was dated, the windows were rotting and there was a very misty smell. Overall it was nice and it helped that the majority of the staffs were really friendly and helpful."
