"My partner and I stayed last year in April at this Resort and we loved it. This year, it lacked customer service. We were very disappointed and we don’t think we will be returning. To make things clear, the resort grounds are beautiful but the stay also depends on the staff which makes it worth the vacation stay. They assigned us a room on the first floor which was very noisy due to foot traffic. Doors were slamming loudly early in the morning and throughout the day. House cleaning rolling carts were noisy on the tile floors. The rooms are near the pool area and beach so there were a lot of people walking through to get to the amenities. We requested to be accommodated to a higher floor in a comparable room if one became available and unfortunately, they couldn’t accommodate. We also asked for a late check-out at the desk on day 2 of our trip and they stated that they would inform us but we of course had to call the front desk early on our day 5 day of check-out, only to be told that they also couldn’t accommodate that either. Check-out was at 12 and we asked to be extended until 1pm so that we could enjoy the rest of the amenities prior to leaving without having to rush back. Instead we kindly asked them to hold our bags and we had food and drinks at the bar until we had to head to the airport. We definitely have seen the customer service decline at the Curacao Marriott Beach Resort and we will be staying elsewhere when we return to Curaçao. "
