It's was an experience we wanted, to stay in a castle. The Ruthin Castle has a ton of history. It's a bit run down but I guess that could be the charm. We didn't use the Spa or have any meals there so we can't comment on that. But the welcome at check-in was great and the room was excellent. We did have a drink in the bar where the service was excellent and very friendly. Overall we had a lovely stay.
