"The room was clean and comfortable. A great location to walk for dinner options and sight seeing. Our shower rod was hung crooked so the shower curtain didn’t cover the entire opening but kept sliding to the middle of the rod, our microwave tried to catch a paper cup full of water on fire, but other than that, it was a very nice room. Parking was limited. We had 2 cars for 4 adults and we had to park one at a parking garage because there wasn’t space on the property for more than one car per room. "

"If you have dogs, just don’t stay here! I can’t speak to the property as the staff would not return communication back to me. Tried to ask a question after my pre book was already charged and couldn’t cancel. They charge $125 just for the dog for one night. Also I didn’t see the 30lb limit on a dog. So when I tried asking about that they wouldn’t even respond. Once they get your money they don’t care. It literally cost me less to get another hotel that would take my dog and stay for one night than they charge a “cleaning fee” for the dog. "

"The Soma House is the sister hotel to The Garrett and Hotel Fiona, and it’s where the amenities are located. The rooms were clean, and the staff was amazing and very accommodating. The pool area was nice and comfortable, and there were shops and places to eat nearby. Overall, we had a much better experience staying here."

"Let’s start by saying the pictures of the rooms are a complete catfish. The hotel looks nothing like the photos online. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which was honestly the best part of the stay. However, the hotel itself needs major updates. There is carpet throughout the hallways and rooms and it smells pretty bad. There is no air conditioning, so be prepared to request a fan. They do keep the windows open, but some of them don’t even have screens, which means anything can get into the room. Our bathroom definitely needed renovations. The tile was dirty and literally coming apart from the wall, and the vents were extremely dusty. The bathroom was also very small, especially the shower. If you’re a thicker person, I would definitely recommend requesting a handicap-accessible room, as those bathrooms are larger and updated. The ice machine was moldy, and the breakfast box with pastries had gnats flying around inside it, which was very off-putting. Another thing to note is that there are no amenities at this hotel. If you want to use any, you have to go across the street to their sister hotel, The Soma House. The staff there was also very friendly, and the rooms there are much nicer. In fact, we liked it so much better that we asked to relocate there, and the staff was very accommodating and helped make that happen. The area itself isn’t the best, as there are quite a few homeless individuals around. But as our Uber driver suggested: “Uber in and Uber out.” Overall,"

"The staff was so nice. We arrived late and Maria was very welcoming and friendly. This is an old, old hotel so it's unique. I loved the antiques and the luxury of a different time. Great central location for the things we wanted to explore while we were in SF."
