"Nothing wrong the aesthetics of the hotel and appeared clean. Staff were good. Just the second Marston’s Inn in a year that I’ve been bitten badly by bed bugs. Reported and hopefully will get sorted. 100% will not stay at another Marston’ Inn."

"This is a unique hotel with a bit of a disjointed connection of buildings and some different updates in places, but overall a really nice stay and great experience. We had a suite in a portion of the hotel that had been a house, so there were nice stairs and windows that reflected an older time. "Here’s a polished version for a hotel review: I had to wait a long time outside the hotel following a delayed train journey, despite repeatedly ringing the bell and knocking to be let in. Once inside, I was directed to a set of lifts that did not provide access to the floor where my room was located. There was also no clear information about the available breakfast options or serving times. On the positive side, the hotel was well located, and the room was clean and tidy."

"Would have given a 5 star review but unfortunately neither me or my wife could have a shower, water would only come out at super hot no matter how I tried to ad cold it just stayed boiling hot. Both had to wash in the sink as a consequence. We were in room 6"

"The hotel is looking a bit tired and in need of an update. The room was fine...no safe, furniture a bit tatty and some black mould around the bath/shower. Only 1 dressing robe and slippers in the room, although booked as a couple. Room service was a bit random. The sandwiche that arrived was not great, with a tired piece of lettuce, 2 small tomatoes and some tortilla chips. Breakfast was again fine but nothing to write home about. The hot food had the air of being put out for the opening...

"We had another wonderful stay. It’s in a great spot with Meadowhall across the road, off the M1 and only a 20 minute drive (if that) from the town centre. The staff were fabulous, especially Rachel and Anthony. If we come back to Sheffield, we would stay again. "
