Lovely little hotel, few issues with my hotel.com booking and the reception tried to make me pay again as they haven’t heard of Hotels.com but after a 20 min discussion and a call to hotel.com (who eventually sent an email to confirm) it was all ok. Made me late for a really important meeting so was quite stressful however the man on reception gave me a coffee for my trouble.

50 mtr til lufthavn

Kun ca 50mtr fra Durham Tees Valley Airport. Hotel er godt,til rejsende med tidlig morgens afgang fra lufthavn.Personel var flink og soveværselse var godt.Ingen problem med hotel.

The only thing going for this hotel it was close to the airport. No help from the staff to carry luggage up the stairs to our room. The bed had no headboard, The person on the front desk was also serving in the bar, taking orders for meals and serving them. The bathroom needed a facelift.

Outdated hotel

Once, but never again. Interior is completely outdated, you feel like you are walking in an abandoned place, rather than a working hotel. Fabric of the only chair in the room was torn, the top of the table was wobbly as a result of water (I think).

Really nice hotel

We booked this very last minute and when we arrived the girl at reception was outstanding and made us feel very welcome. My wee boy loved her aswell just a overall brillant experience and the hotel manager should be very proud of how the girl at reception treats all guests

You get what you pay for

4 friends on a golf trip to the area, the hotel was ok for what we paid but a hot shower would have been nice and behind the shower head was a dirty tissue which the cleaners had obviously missed! the girl who came from behind reception to serve behind the bar needs some training especially on listening to what the customer wants.

The George Hotel, teeside airport

Stayed here for a wedding we were attending and enjoyed the food, it offered a relaxing night and comfortable beds and a lovely breakfast to start the day.

Dated but expected that for the price. The historical info dotted around as a nice touch. Restricted internet too which quite frankly is unacceptable in the 21st century.

Room was very poor standard

Only thing missing from my room was the sign on the door saying closed for refurbishment Broken light fittings and very tired fittings with have seen years of use Public areas were dated but fresh and staff set really friendly

Great just terrible mattress

Overall good value. Room was adequate, was a bit dated but overall I was happy for the price of £38. The only downside was the mattress, it was probably the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept on.
