"We adored our stay and wish we had more time to spend here. What a wonderful country setting in a traditional B &B. Beautiful chapel views from our room which also overlooked a sweet field with sheep. We were welcomed at the door and bid goodbye personally. The cooked to order breakfast was wonderful and thoughtfully prepared and laid out. We would love to return if we are lucky enough to do so. True gem!!! Suzie and Wes from Oregon."

"The hotel was old and uncomfortable. Didn’t find my booking and had to wait around for over 30 minutes for it to be confirmed despite showing evidence the room was booked.
Won’t stay again. "

"Breakfast was excellent value and good portions, off road parking but fills with customers to the club especially on an evening.
No food or drink allowed in rooms which was disappointing as you have to go down to a very busy bar to get refreshments and isn’t ideal if your chilled in your room after a long day out and you just want to relax watching TV with a nice cup of coffee, but that isn’t possible as no kettle is provided in your room.
Apart from that our stay was excellent, really nice...

"Friendly staff, on-site parking. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.
Narrow staircase, no lift do big or heavy suitcases could be a challenge.
Breakfast was good!"

"Victoria keeps the house immaculately clean and is decorated to a high standard. Everything we needed was in our room, she even brought a fresh jug of milk for our tea and coffee. The breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for her. We could not find fault in anything. Throughly recommend."

"The hotel area, landscape and grounds absolutely exceptional. Hotel inside is clean and tidy. which includes reception and the catering/dining section. Some other elements appear really dated e.g. carpets and stairwells, which make specific odours. The hotel I can see have done some renovations and furniture renewals which I assume with and overall plan to modernise further. The room was always looked after on request no issues there. windows in rooms we were in needed cleaning/replacing. Low humming noises which disturbed sleep and winding down. Staff reaction and action to requests were very good with a kind temperament.
The stay though was Lovely and great space for relaxing and "getting away from it all" - i would come back again."
"After an amazing party in the afternoon we were unable to check until after 4;pm by which time no room on the lower floor was given as an option. The room is in the annex and described as a 2 minute walk. But that's not true for older people who have issues with walking. Once in the room which was hot. No heating was visible: the automatic fan and light combination was awful. Additionally no WiFi available.
At 3am a red/green light started flashing which turned out to be the TV; eventually we found the off switch. Breakfast was greatly anticipated but sadly did not meet a 4star standard I can't even describe the black pudding.
This was a greatly anticipated visit.
I will try and see if it's improved in 6 months time."
"I had a fantastic stay. The room was well equipped, the staff were friendly and facilities excellent. I found the value for money superb. The breakfast in the morning was great for just £10 per person."
Leonardo Hotel and Conference Venue Hinckley Island
10/10 Excellent
"A very good hotel which is huge and busy. Reception team were excellent and the room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. "
"Great location with plenty of parking and comfy rooms. Bar area is very relaxing.
However breakfast is a bit chaotic. For the second visit in a row, the coffee machines are not working properly so there's a long queue and frustration. Two domestic toasters but the bread was far too large to fit and resulted in many pieces of burnt toast."
"Very well situated, close to all the City’s main attractions and town centre - a 15 minute walk from the train. Love the historical touches of the Evening Telegraph. My room was a good size and bathroom electric shower was good. TV was a good size but not many channels. Breakfast was OK for the price - I had to request vegetarian sausages which came just after I’d finished the rest! - Both coffee machines were broken on Sunday and the non hot replenish not particularly good. Evening meal was tasty and reasonable value -maybe portions a bit sparse.I’d recommend Mother Hubbard’s fish and chips round the corner -really tast fish !"
