"We had a lovely stay at Altes Landhaus Country Lodge. From the moment we arrived, we received a very friendly welcome and were made to feel truly special. We were in town for the 5 Shy Meerkats tour, which we would highly recommend, and also enjoyed an ostrich safari. Thanks to a brochure from the hotel, we even received a discount. We opted to have dinner at the lodge and it was excellent, complemented by a great wine list. The wifi was a little hit and miss at times, but it certainly did not...

"When we arrived at our destination very tired and hungry we got told that this place was fully booked. They made a dou le booking. Then the owner Hennie made a plan for us to stay in a cottage outside of oudshoorn. We did not make any plans for food as we thaught we will load off our baggage and get something to eat. But then we had to drive outside of town with nothing. There was no Wifi and we had to drive with our car up a mountain. We were very upset about this as i had 2 small children...

"Things have changed since I was last here , rooms are still good, they have upgraded their breakfast and the amount of choice is excellent,quality is good ,the grounds have been meticulously kept neat and tidy ,it’s a perfect place if you have kids to be free and play , such a treat to see the animals and wild animals that are close by,we really enjoyed our stay ,we were not affected by loadshedding-generator onsite "

We were in one of the tents which have air conditioning, which was nice since it was a little warm and it was on the river driving by the other places I think we made the right choice. Dinner was fantastic My only complaint is they say it’s working ostrich farm so I was really looking forward to seeing and interacting with ostriches. They had four that you could feed mind you. They bite a little lol and 20 or so as you leave. Besides that great place"
