Holiday Inn Express and Suites Vineland Millville by IHG
8/10 Good
"The staff was very welcoming! Breakfast area was nice. The only thing I wasn’t pleased with was the room showers! Lots of rust and didn’t look super clean "
"I initially thought I had been mistakenly given a smoking room during my first stay. However, on my second stay, I was assigned a completely different room and noticed the same unpleasant smell again. I’m not sure if it’s some kind of incense, but the odor is strong and off-putting.
The rooms themselves are clean, but they really need to address the persistent bad smell.
The rooms also don’t have windows that can be opened, so getting fresh air is difficult unless you leave the door open, which isn’t convenient. On top of that, the heater is very loud and made it hard to relax that I had to turn it off."
"Rooms were all unsanitary. Location was unsafe. Doors to building did not lock. TV's did not work. Rooms were not cleaned in weeks. Human hair all over shower, floor. Burn holes in linens, crack pipe burns in desks and floor. Staff refused refunding after cancelling 3rd night for all these reasons and Expedia did nothing to assist. Total rip off and disgusting. Been in Fraternity houses that were cleaner and safer."
"The older woman, I assume the owner, is the sole reason I would avoid this place. I got charged 40 dollars for there being "pizza grease" on the sheets. They charge 100 dollars to your card in case anything happens, but after reading the fine print on the paper you sign stating they charge the hundred, I had a feeling they would find any reason to not give all the money back. The young lady who checked us in was very polite and welcoming as well as a gentleman I spoke with over the phone. We got breakfast at 902 and there was a cleaning guy who said breakfast ended at 9. The cleaning guy allowed us to get food however the older woman and him began cleaning and putting away things before we even sat down. The woman even told us to sit at specific table and just said that breakfast ended at 9. She looked annoyed with us. There's better places to stay and compared to this place, it's worth the extra cost."
"It smells like smoke supposed to be non smoking but there has been a lot of smoking in this room. And the hotel tried to mask the smoke smell with very strong air freshener which is making it so much worse.
My eyes hurt from the smell and I have such a headache "
