"This hotel used to be a hidden gem, but it has declined significantly over the years. The room’s air quality was poor, stuffy and uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff were the only bright spot during my stay; they were friendly and professional.
The bar was decent, but my experience with one of the bartenders was unacceptable. A Caucasian gentleman working at the bar was rude to my wife. While she was trying to place an order, he took a personal phone call regarding his life insurance policy and told her to wait. After finishing his call, he finally came back to take her order. It was unprofessional and disrespectful.
The location is still one of the hotel’s strengths, with a liquor store, Acme, and several other convenient businesses nearby. Unfortunately, the hotel itself is no longer what it once was. I was so disappointed that I checked out just one hour after checking in. At this point, I honestly feel I deserve a refund.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it based on my recent stay."
