So much fun!

This vacation was amazing! Huge, very clean, very comfortable room with great view and lots of really nice amenities!

Nice little get-a-way

Liked the location and loved the size of the balconies where we took many of our meals. Towel man (Wil) was exceptional. Would have liked an updated kitchen, but everything else was done well.

I booked through VRBO for a last minute vacation. I double checked that the description said balcony with ocean view because that is one of my favorite parts of going to the beach. When I arrived I was told my unit was on the ground floor with no view of the ocean. I questioned this at check in but was told I would have to call VRBO. I called VRBO and they told me I had to call the property manager. Property manager told me to call VRBO..... I filed a complaint through VRBO and got no response. I feel that I paid for an ocean view that I did not receive. The unit I stayed in was not pictured on the VRBO listing. We enjoyed our vacation regardless of this but I was disappointed that no one helped me resolve this problem after multiple phone calls and a formal complaint.

Good place

Location was great. The room felt worn out. The beds squeak and are not supportive, you can see the indention in the mattress. The couch same way.

My only complaint is that we came in late and had a hard time finding the lockbox to get the key. Otherwise great place!! We will return! Thank you.

A pleasant stay.

We stayed in #516. The condo was neat & clean. We liked the deco. The king bed was a memory foam and the condo is very roomy. There's not much of a beach view from this west wing condo, with another condo setting between us & the beach. The faculty & grounds are maintained & manicured very well. The pool areas are neat & clean. There is a private walkway to a designated Islander section of beach. It is very small & had the condo been full during our visit, it could have been a problem. If you don't rent through The Islander condo, we rented through hotels.com, the beach chairs & umbrellas are not included. The cost is $32 a day for 2 chairs & an umbrella. The condo location is excellent to anything Destin. Overall... this was a great stay & I can definitely recommend The Islander after this visit.
