"Dies war das teuerste Hotel auf unserer Reise, aber leider auch das enttäuschendste. Die Sauberkeit des Zimmers ließ zu wünschen übrig. Es waren Ameisen im Bett. Wir mussten zweimal darauf aufmerksam machen, bis diese nachhaltig entfernt wurden. Außerdem stellten wir nach der ersten Nacht fest, dass sich irgendein Tier an unserem Beutel mit (verschlossenen) Keksen zu schaffen gemacht hat. "The hotel had been abandoned. We managed to check-in but there have been no staff onsite since. A local has told us that the Indian company that owns the hotel has not paid the local staff wages and they have been forced to leave. The hotel is filthy, there is literally no staff anywhere to be seen. "

"There is ongoing work to improve the hotel. The pool is round the back but didn't use it. Breakfast was good. It was quiet season so think we were the only ones staying so unfair to judge too harshly. There was a wasp nest a few metres from the room but didn't worry us as it is Sri Lanka after all. Staff were very friendly. "

"Rustic hotel accommodation right on beach, 10 minute drive out of Arugam Bay. Tuk Tuk accessible. Basic accommodation with wifi only in verandah of our unit (11), and in dining area. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Loved their Sri Lankan meals. It’s not 5 star hotel but the staff make up for it. "
