We loved our Polynesian-decorated bungalow over the water with a mountain view and numerous reef fish, rays, and blacktip sharks swimming in the water below; the glass table/floor and windows that allowed us to watch the fish below our bungalow; and wide balcony with a table and chairs, lounge chairs, and our own personal ladder that went down into the chest-deep water in the beautiful lagoon. "From arriving at the airport (which is on its own island if you didn’t know) to getting to the resort everyone was super helpful. Our overwater bungalow was perfect. Wonderful AC if we wanted to use it and plenty of amenities. The food at the resort was a little underwhelming and a little expensive. But, even food at restaurants outside of the resort were about the same. Some of the gifts off the resort were cheaper by 10-20 USD. All in all we enjoyed our stay. The staff was so friendly! And...

"This is now my favorite Sydney hotel. Location is fantastic, we had the view overlooking Darling Harbour, just wow!! The hotel gave us early checkin which was a bonus to drop off your bags. Room service was very quick and food was to rave about. Had the buffet breakfast twice and that filled us up for the day (cost $48 AUD pp). Ice and filtered water on each floor. Went to the bar and had a real mixture with my drinks order, barman did a great job which even included a rather yummy sweet Chai....

"Our 3rd stay here at the Double Tree, won't be our last. The facilities are excellent, the buffet breakfast has something for everyone. Rooms are large and well equipped with a modern bathroom. The staff are a credit to the resort, helpful, friendly, and attentive. The standard of service here has never changed, from the front of house to the cleaners such as the wonderful Ala from housekeeping and Sam in the cafe. We love this place."

"No lifts worked at check in or that night when we got home. Had to walk up and down 20 floors to get to pool, spa, sauna and room. Next morning 1 lift worked for the entire hotel... Bed was incredibly hard."
