Secrets Papagayo - Adults Only - All inclusive

"We had a wonderful stay at Secrets Papagayo Costa Rica and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. The resort facilities are beautiful and incredibly well maintained, with lush tropical landscaping, gorgeous views, and a peaceful atmosphere that truly makes you feel like you are in paradise. One of the biggest highlights of our stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The team consistently went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The level of service made the experience feel special from beginning to end. We were also very impressed with the food. There were plenty of delicious options across the resort, with enough variety to keep meals interesting throughout our stay. Whether we wanted something casual or a more elevated dinner experience, we always found something we enjoyed. The location is another major advantage. Set along the beautiful Gulf of Papagayo, the resort offers stunning scenery and a peaceful, secluded feel while still being conveniently located for exploring the Guanacaste region and enjoying excursions. Overall, Secrets Papagayo exceeded our expectations. Between the beautiful facilities, exceptional and attentive staff, delicious food, and incredible location, it was a fantastic experience. We left feeling relaxed, well cared for, and already talking about returning. Highly recommended!"

"The room have an amazing beach view. Could use some renovation as; painting, or cleaning the walls and new pillows. The sheets and towels were clean and very well organized. The Staff were amazing, very helpful and always with a smile. Loved taking the shuttle to go down the beach. The hill is very deep so definitely taking a shuttle was helpful. The FOOD was 10/10. so good perfect portion and the best of having inclusive is that we ate whatever we wanted. The drink tasted like juice so getting drunk would be easier if you want that 😅 Costa Rica Unique (a part of the excursion office) staff are so nice! very helpful on explaining what the packages are and what brings. Overall very good for the price and amazing, definitely would recommend to someone!"

"The property was seemingly in the middle of a regular town. Which I found good but know there is no walking to other beaches. The staff was friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. I’m we found it quite enjoyable. And kudos to the nightly performers!"

"Beautiful property and room! The pools are plentiful and never felt crowded—we saw a monkey! Treat yourself to an evening sunset by the lobby bar—breathtaking! The beach is ona beautiful cove. My kids enjoyed the rocky areas for “tidepooling” for hermit crabs, fish, etc. There is a nice reef right off the beach where daily snorkeling activities are available. We saw a puffer fish, some colorful tropical fish and a spotted ray. Note the beach is public, but the locals are friendly and not loud. There are no loungers down close to the ocean (a little higher up on the sand close to the property, but not many people sat there). It was a tad of an annoyance to see 9 jet skis in the cove almost everyday. They are for rental. My family did enjoy them one day, however, 2 or three would suffice. 9 surely took away from the tropical island feel and I looked forward to each evening when they disappeared. The room was luxurious and had everything you needed. We did purchase a 2 queens room with a small plunge pool—in hindsight sight we did not use it much and we noticed these pools were only on the first floors (preventing a better view). It did seem like there were only a few larger suites with a corner pool on the upper floors of buildings). The dining was pretty good. The breakfast spread at TicoTica was great and unexpected. We enjoyed Peacock Alley to watch the World Cup USA game—a great vibe. Kids enjoyed the pool with the slide and the teen room was cool. Pura Vida!"
