"I travel at least four times a year, so I’ve stayed in many hotels over the years. I can honestly say that the service I received at Barceló was truly above and beyond anything I expected.

"This grand old dame was obviously a great hotel 80 years ago but it is run down, poorly maintained and super cheap with supplies. They only give you 2 bath towels, no hand towel or bath mat. 1/2 roll of toilet paper. I aske for additional towels for two days and none arrived. I finally met with the housekeeping manager and got an extra bath towel.
The cleaning staff try but 90 years of very hard water has coated the bath with a thick layer of calcium.

"Our opinion of the hotel is as follows: It's a good hotel because it's beautiful, clean, the breakfast is spectacular, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are clean, organized, and comfortable, and they have good air conditioning and hot water. The transportation from the airport to the hotel was very good, punctual, and comfortable. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent.
