"Staff were friendly and keen to help. Room was bright, clean, bed was comfy, air-conditioning worked. Location was pretty good for Carmelo proper - just off the centre, with easy access for everything from bus station to some of the best food in town. Not so good was the limited front-desk hours which meant having to plan to arrive within a two-hour window. Also the bikes for rent could be in better shape (and not all built for six-foot-tall riders)."

"The outdoor pool and area were very lovely. The staff were friendly and personable: (3 generations!) Some English was spoken, which was rare in Uruguay. Breakfast was extensive, with many baked goods."
