"When trying to get into our room the safety latch had been turned to keep anyone from getting into the room. Had to go back to lobby to get help. The clerk tried to accuse us of turning the latch. Told her we were just checking in and haven't even been in the room. She had no way to get the door open. Had to go back to lobby to get another room. Then back to get my partner and carry everything to another floor. Was very inconvenient since we are elderly. Breakfast wasn't anything to brag about."

"I did one overnight stay with my boyfriend and one year old. Unfortunately the pool was out of service, but the hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. We drove in to Columbus, which was 10 minutes down I 10 towards Houston to go to a steakhouse and popped into their Hound song brewery for an appetizer and beer. Very easy location to access off of the interstate and close to gas stations, fast food, and Dollar General."

"We were very disappointed with the Holiday Inn in Columbus, Texas. I would not recommend this property to anyone! This hotel needs to be refurbished or remodeled or leveled and start over. This Holiday Inn is not like any other Holiday Inn we have stayed in. I suggest management go spend two nights in this property. See what I'm saying. Disappointing!!!
