"I would like to make a complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. Upon arrival, I asked a member of staff what time parking enforcement on the road outside began, as I was concerned about my car being clamped. I was told that clamping started at 9:00 a.m. However, at no point was I informed that there was no underground or alternative hotel parking available. This information would have been very helpful when planning my stay. I was also disappointed with the room itself. The room was very small and, despite the warm weather, there was no air conditioning available. This made the room uncomfortable during my stay. In addition, I ordered room service and was only informed about the €5 room service charge after placing my order. I believe this charge should have been clearly communicated before the order was taken. There were also a number of issues with my food and drink order. When my order arrived, butter was missing. While I understand that mistakes can happen, it added to an already disappointing experience. Later, I requested ice but was given water instead. My partner then went down to collect ice personally, believing this would be the quickest way to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the service remained confusing and inconsistent. Overall, I found the room clean and had no issues with the cleanliness of the hotel. "Beware!! They will incorrectly charge your credit card. They charged me three times for my stay and did not immediately return the money. I had to dispute it with my credit card company. Hopefully, my credit card company will resolve it. Also, the toilet hand some kind of red stains on the seat when I got there. It was obviously not cleaned properly."

"Wish we would have had another night at the hotel as we had originally planned. Had to cut it to one night due to a very aggressive travel plan. Might have bumped rating up to 5 if we could have experienced more of the amenities but we stayed only one night and were on a really tight time schedule. Staff was great. Gave us all kinds of good information on restaurants and pubs, which we took advantage of. Room was large, clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location on the river, right across from the best areas for shopping, dining and pubs. Parking was very convenient, with an attached garage. They had a very nice restaurant and bar area with some good live entertainment the night we were there. Unfortunately we couldn't take full advantage of it since we really wanted to explore the town and we had such a small amount of time. I would highly recommend The Glasshouse as well as spending a little time exploring Sligo and the surrounding area."
