"The hotel is located very near Malioboro street and the train station. The staff was extremely helpful and even helped us organize an excursion ex-tempore which turned out to be the best guide we had all trip. The food at the hotel is good an reasonably priced, the spa was good as well and the pool area way underutilized so we got to enjoy it pretty much by ourselves. "Old, worn out, & you get what you pay for. Rain is loud on roof, motorcycles heard all night. Needs fresh paint & clean grout. However, the room service Indonesian 06:00 breakfast was tasty. The hotel staff got us soap upon request. The aircon worked and we had hot showers. There were 2 sitting parlors adorned with sculptures & plants by the front desk. The hotel is within a few blocks of the downtown night market. "
