"Hotel, in general, and room were clean and tidy. Even though close to the rail station and a company party on one of the nights we stayed, the party and rail noises did not penetrate the quiet of the hotel room. Close to the Xmas market and shopping. In general, a very pleasant stay. "

"What a gem of a hotel. The staff were very welcoming, courteous and efficient. Our room was immaculately clean. The hotel was warm and comfortable which is great in the winter. The ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both meals were excellent. Definitely scores 10 out of 10 for me."

"The hotel was beautiful, with the add Christmas feel. We stayed for one night, for a visit to Burghley House Christmas Market, it was perfect location. Dinner and breakfast was good, however a little expensive. The room was warm, cost and had all amenities needed. The only complaint, was the bed was a little hard. We would definitely recommend a visit to the Haycock Hotel. "

"Clean, comfortable well presented room. No food facilities on site but a microwave, kettle and toaster was provided. All crockery and cutlery was available together with a decently sized kitchen sink. The en-suite was adequate with an electric shower, toilet and sink. We will stay at the Falcons Nest next time we are in the area. "

"We had booked two rooms here, both were nice and comfy. There were some farmyard animals wandering about (cute pygmy goats, dog etc) which were interesting. We had an amazing meal in the pub, really delicious. Would definitely stay again or drive out of my way to eat here. "
