"Very quiet and great setting on an island in the lake. Infrastructure is 40 years old or so. Not great on comfort but if you look for a relaxing afmosphere it is great. Fro. The parjinv lot a 15 min boat ride offered by tbe hotel gets you to the island. Setting is great."

"We went to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, staying at Marbrissa Hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was clean but poorly maintained, the bathroom also. After our first couple of hours we noticed a bad leak on the toilet reservoir connecting to the bowl, the staff put us in another room, all was fine. Again the unit was clean but poorly maintained. "Absolutely horrific. What a dump. An expensive dump. Not in a good area. Dirty rooms outdated. Then they didn’t charge me correctly. Workers don’t know what they’re doing. Never returning. They charge like I’m at a 5 star resort and looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1970s. Stay away. "
