"Very quiet and great setting on an island in the lake. Infrastructure is 40 years old or so. Not great on comfort but if you look for a relaxing afmosphere it is great. Fro. The parjinv lot a 15 min boat ride offered by tbe hotel gets you to the island. Setting is great."

"This hotel is very close to Rio Dulce. Very nice pool with a small restaurant. The employees are very nice and helpful. The rooms need updating. Decor and tv were very old. If you are just driving through and need a place to relax outside and just sleep, this is the place. If you are looking for modest to luxury stay and amenities, this is not it. Overall, this place is an ok place."

"We went to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala, staying at Marbrissa Hotel, the staff were friendly and very helpful, our room was clean but poorly maintained, the bathroom also. After our first couple of hours we noticed a bad leak on the toilet reservoir connecting to the bowl, the staff put us in another room, all was fine. Again the unit was clean but poorly maintained. In general, the hotel was acceptable but being 20 plus years old and not well maintained or painted well either. Sad as this is a...

"Absolutely horrific. What a dump. An expensive dump. Not in a good area. Dirty rooms outdated. Then they didn’t charge me correctly. Workers don’t know what they’re doing. Never returning. They charge like I’m at a 5 star resort and looks like it hasn’t been touched since the 1970s. Stay away. "
