"This beautiful old ottoman hotel is beautiful. The rooms are quite basic but very clean and comfortable. The aircon was brilliant (it was very hot while we were in Safranbolu) and we had a lovely view from our room. The buffet breakfast was a fairly typical Turkish breakfast with plentiful options and we were very satisfied with it. The location is fantastic with jus a short walk to all the action. "My visit to Karabük / Safrabolu was for business - my wife came along and did the 'sightseeing & shopping'. Both of really loved the 'feel' and hospitality of the Safir Konak - the way it brought the local community together (lots of people come to 'eat n meet' in the bar / restaurant) with a lovely place to stay for visitors.
