"The owner was kind and accommodating when we asked for things we needed. It is an old dated motel literally in the middle of nowhere. We missed that. We thought English River was a town with the Inn located there. However the beautiful view from our room was incredible, that was a big bonus. The King bed was really comfortable. Great night sleep. "The hotel is an old brick house similar to many B&Bs (without the breakfast though). It is clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. Netflix was included too. The location is in downtown Kenora with several restaurants and pubs nearby. Communication with the owner was excellent. "

"The Landlord (owner/operator) is a very hands on person and will do anything to make your stay go pleasantly . The building will be beautiful when he’s done his renovations . Definately come back "

"First time staying here, so was unsure what to expect, older facilities but well upkept, It feels like you're in an open space in the bush. Rooms are 1 bedroom apartments essentially. Staff super friendly and knowledgeable. I travel to Red Lake area a few times a year and this is going to definitely be my go to place."
