"Very nice place"

"It seems it may be a retreat location for government officials or business groups, not a typical place for wandering tourists. Of a dozen or so bungalows, we were the only guests. It's up on the hillside, a good 25-minute walk from town or any amenities. The advertised restaurant was closed and never opened. We felt a bit stranded. "Was like something out of bladerunner - the hotel was on the 16th floor of Lao China friendship building - no one in the town spoke english or knew where it was. The room was spacious with an incredible view over the town"
