"There is no such building called the Picton waterfront apartments. The building is actually called the Oxley rock Apartments.
There is nice signage or any indication anywhere that we are at the Picton waterfront apartments. This created total confusion and frustration whilst we walk outside in heavy rain with our luggage paper in hand trying to figure it out.
Very poor experience. Phone calls and email went unanswered.
Apparently, we were supposed to be sent an email explaining how to check...

"I didn’t get the promised text or email telling me what room I was in. I called the help number but it wasn’t answered. I left a message but have never been called back. I have tried that number about 12 times but it always goes to answer phone. "For what this is (a cabin in a campervan park), it was excellent. The cabin was private, clean, and quiet. There's obviously no view and the amenities are all shared (shared bathroom/toilets/showers, shared communal area) but everything was in pretty good/decent shape. It's not a 5 star luxury hotel but it's not pretending to be that. For the value and what you pay for (and for just one night where you're getting in fairly late and leaving somewhat early), it's excellent. "

"Glenburn Coastal Retreat receives the highest possible rating from us. We travel a lot, and this accommodation is among the absolute best we have stayed at. The house is fantastic, and every detail is well thought out. The location by the sea is wonderful."

"Excellent apartment for our family fresh off a flight from the UK. Really clean and high quality finish. Communications from hosts were excellent. A short 15min walk in to Hanmer itself so you are both close enough and in a really peaceful setting. We wish we could have stayed longer. "

"Lovely place with easy access to the beach. Extremely quiet and dark, allowing for great stargazing. Plenty of room for our family to spread out. Friendly host who quickly explained everything and was available for questions via text. Would definitely return the next time we’re near Kaikoura. "
