"When we were going to clean up the next morning water was coming through the ceiling in the bathroom from the shower above us."

"I stayed for a few days as I was moving out of an apartment in Grand Forks. I have stayed at a number of La Quinta hotels since they all tend to be pet friendly. This was one of the nicer ones. I was well maintained and comfortable. It is in a nice area with a couple of restaurants nearby. It is a short drive from the highway."

"Hello, We stayed at your hotel this past weekend during graduation festivities, which I understand is a very busy time. It has been a couple of years since our last stay, and we noticed that the property is beginning to show its age and may be due for some updates. We reserved three rooms for our family, and a few concerns came up during our stay: • one of the rooms windows did not lock properly, which resulted in significant wind and road noise throughout the night. • One of the rooms had not been fully cleaned prior to check-in; the bathroom, including the toilet and bathtub, was noticeably dirty. • Overall, the rooms, carpeting, and bathrooms appeared worn and in need of refreshing. • Parking was generally adequate, but many contractors were staying at the hotel with large trailers, which occupied multiple spaces. A designated area or larger parking accommodations for oversized vehicles would be helpful. • The Saturday breakfast selection was limited, and several items appeared to be out of stock—likely due to the high number of guests for graduation weekend. We appreciate the convenient location and have enjoyed staying here in the past. We hope this feedback is helpful as you continue to maintain and improve the property. Thank you for your time."

"Walls really thin. I could smell smoke in my room initially but it was sprayed, and it seemed to take care of it. Toilet flushed slow but fine. Got the feeling there were some long term residents and I could smell pot occasionally. However everyone was friendly that I encountered. Flooring looked new in the room part. Beds really comfy. Nice down comforter. Full size new looking frig a surprise. Bread at breakfast really soft and fresh. Free parking always a plus."

"Staff was some of the best I have encountered at a hotel in this category. Super helpful, friendly and seemed to go above expectations for everyone. The gathering area and separate living area space with sofas and a TV were perfect for our family to gather since we were there for our son’s college graduation. The room with a kitchen and separate living room was spacious and easy to spend time in. The hotel was very clean and our room was very clean too. As common with hotels in busy college towns of a certain age, there are some things that could be updated but overall, this is the best place we have stayed in our four years visiting our son at UND. Wish we had stayed here first because we would have stayed every other time. Recommend!"
