"The most warm welcome I’ve had in Sri Lanka! The hostel manager was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay, I could really recommend the place. Good free breakfast and nice communal areas. Although it was low season and the hostel was quite empty, I still found new friends."

The staff are very welcoming; the accommodation is oversized and very comfortable; the swimming pool is terrific for being able to swim laps; the oceanfront location fabulous with kayaking and ocean swimming available . "I loved my stay here, as the room was spacious and clean. The bed was super-comfy, with a medium-hard mattress. Slept SOOOOO well. Get the breakfast to start your day well - fruit plate, Sri Lankan omelette, coffee, tea, juice. The staff speak moderate English, and will make every attempt to ensure your stay is comfortable. Although this establishment is located well Google Maps is NOT to be trusted! Maps will take you to a location over the nearby creek (which stinks during the day)....

"I absolutely loved my stay at Mandara and I will be back soon for sure. The staff were very friendly and special thanks to the Priyankara and bar staff, Lalit, Sampath and the pool staff and the lady who checked me in at the reception.
