"Amazing experience to stay in a castle. We stayed in the Radcliffe Suite, so spacious and grand. The bathroom was huge! With a sauna! The bed was super comfy. My husband and I had dinner from the fine dining menu and our son was able to order from the relaxed dining menu which was great. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was equally wonderful, and my husband was very happy to see kippers as a menu choice. "Room was extremely clean and modern. Slept really well. Very comfy bed and pillows. Good pressure on shower, floor to ceiling windows and clean modern communal areas. We didn't order breakfast as there is a weather spoons next door and far cheaper to pay £6 there, than £20 (£15 if you pre-book) at the hotel, but again that's down to personal preference. It was hot weather, and the air con worked very well."

"I paid for an upgrade but when we arrived we were not told until we moved in that there was scaffolding in front of the window and a walkway.as we were unpacking a young couple walked into the room and told us it was thier room reception had double booked the room.on our last night we went to the claret Jug as we didn’t want a meal just a snack despite the menu saying they were open until 9pm they wouldn’t serve us as they said they stop serving at 6 o clock, it was 10 past 6"

"Stayed in room 103, lovely room nice and clean and well serviced, but noisy. Very noisy above the bar, had a private party on Saturday night until midnight, I could feel the bass no sleep I don't think the room should be let under the circumstances, anywhere on the first floor, also 103 is by the lift and exit door, so people walking and talking past the door all night, so my advice is if you'd like a peaceful night's sleep then avoid this room, a shame as I've stayed here before on the 2nd...

"The room itself was very clean and tidy. Beautiful decor. I did let the hotel know I would be arriving from the airport with luggage and I was given a room that involved going up and down stairs with no lift access which at midnight after a long day of travelling was not ideal. The shampoo was very watered down and not usable. There’s also very little sound proofing within the rooms as I was kept up most of the night just from movement around my room. "Clean room good breakfast Room had no window to look out of only sky light. Shower only, broken shower holder so had to hold with one hand while showering. No extractor fan in toilet and no window tried to change room but non available glad it was only 2 nights"
