"How this hotel has a 4* rating is a mystery! I’ve just come back from a 2 night stay and was really not impressed. On arrival it looks very grand but all that changes when you get into the tiny, dark decorated rooms. Absolutely nothing like the photos that advertise this place! A very bad smell kept wafting through the bathroom and a smell of weed in the corridor! For a supposedly 4* hotel the tea and coffee facilities in the room are underwhelming. 2 teabags and no biscuits. I’ve stayed in...

"Always great"

"Great atmosphere and excellent and clean room. Beds only double but adequate. Good breakfast and relaxed environment. Bar staff specially Coco was most cortiouse and polite bar tender ever with exceptional knowledge. Only issue we had was had confusing information or lack of it before checking."

"Confusing name, but a decent hotel. Efficient use of room space. Excellent breakfast."

"Lovely hotel. In a fantastic location right by the entrance of Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Worth paying the extra for a room at the back looking out over the Maned Wolves and Lar Gibbons. We loved watching the animals from our room. Beds were comfy, shower was great and the toiletries smelt lovely. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and stay again. Was also a reasonable price unlike other zoo hotels which can cost £1000s. (We went midweek in September when the schools have...

"Loved the facilities at this hotel and the onsite bar was pretty decent quality. Check in experience could be improved as despite 3 staff on the desk, self check-in was preferred and the free parking option we purchased was not clear how to redeem."

"Fresh clean room, attentive service and a handy well priced carpark. Great site for a trip to the theatre. Loved our stay and will do so again."

"Onlythe service elevator worked !"

"I visited Nottingham with family and we had a good stay in this hotel. The staff were friendly upon arrival and our linen and room were clean. A few issues to report; my bathroom sink plug didn’t work, my mum’s shower didn’t work and my aunt’s room was quite far from the entrance so if you’re not very mobile this might be worth looking into."

"When I viewed this hotel online I thought it looked like a beautiful traditional hotel and certainly wasn't expecting what I pulled into off a busy road. The stained carpet is unrecognisable and is overlapping and my daughter tripped over it. I found an old pair of black shorts/clots at the bottom of the wardrobe with white stains (I handed it into Recep). The dimmed lit bedroom furniture was cheap, the carpet appalling and the double /Queen bed mattress lent to one side when I lay on it. My...

"The room was okay, but unfortunately there were stains on the walls and the toilet was hanging off the wall. There were only three pillows for two people, and the robes included with the Executive King Room were ripped and clearly well-used. The bed was comfortable enough, though. The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, which was definitely a positive."
