"We had a difficult start due to stained duvet cover, missing mug and half a toilet roll. Reported but 4 hours later not sorted. Eventually sorted at just before 10pm, by which time we'd also found a pair of jeans and underwear at other side of the bed! Items were removed by staff. The next morning spoke to manager who listened and was very apologetic for everything stating not the standard she would expect from the staff/hotel and immediately offered an uograded room. "Excellent overnight stay. Staff were very welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable. Location wise, it was perfect, close to everything we wanted to see. A really well run hotel with great service and a warm, relaxed vibe. Would happily stay again."

"Beautiful property. We stayed in the Beach House which was child-friendly. Staff were great and so were the facilities. Only issue was the children’s pool was out of service but we were able to use the main pool at Saltmoore House. Breakfast was amazing too."

"Was very disappointed with the cleanliness of not just the hotel but the pub attached also. The toilets in the pub were disgusting, with no hand soap the whole 4 days of our stay. The whole place looked very worn & tired. I have know idea how on earth it’s classed as 4 stars as I would say it’s 2 at the most. How any one can rate it excellent is beyond me as it’s not even a great location! Will definitely not stay here again or consider using a Marstons inn again."

"Although dated and in need of modernisation, this place was clean with everything you need. Checking in and accessing the room key was quick and easy. The room was large, bathroom was clean, bedding was clean. Tv worked. plenty of hot water."

"We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings"

"Just had two nights at the Boot and Bike. Got say it was amazing. All the staff were great from the cleaner's to reception to the restaurant. Breakfast was super. The dog friendliness was too the extreme in a good way to left for our cockapoo. We made use of the dog washing area after a day at the seaside.
