Only negatives is we couldn’t check in earlier than 4pm and then even after 4pm we had to check with the desk to get our room because the text that is was ready “didn’t go through”. Also it was discovered late at night after we got home that our AC in the room didn’t work. Staff was very friendly and accommodating "

Charleston is a friendly and polite city and everyone we encountered at the hotel was very professional but also warm and friendly. True Charleston hospitality. "The Benchmark was lovely. The morning break fast was perfect. We had room 7 and the view and the deck was lovely. Room was tiny it comfortable - not much room for luggage - I was on a long trip before so I just took out what I needed and left the rest in the car. Parking is tight - we were there in offseason - so could see how that could be an issue in the summer months. P-town was fantastic as well! "

"Very cute boutique style hotel. Right in center of action. Walked to the beach, did shopping and lots of bars and food choices all around the hotel. Was able to walk everywhere! "

"Room layout was a little bit funky (TV to the side of the bed), and light switches that weren't exactly intuitive in what was happening. The Hyatt also has a weird $15/day charge to spend at their market for overpriced items (small bottle of water is $6) that if goes unused you're still charged for, so just factor that into your costs but overall great price for the location and cleanliness."
