Eventually some guy / staff member appeared from nowhere.... First he said our booking is not real.... despite giving him my printed reservation and booking number.... despite being paid already! Then we managed to get a room. The guy refused to validate our room for wifi and said to use the visitor option...

"A hidden gem, the manor is tucked away on a domain easily overlooked. A beautiful house where we were by chance welcomed by the owner, chocolatier Daniel Mercier, with whom we shared stories and a cup of tea with chocolates. The room was gorgeous, fit for royalty, with a beautiful view of the grounds. Breakfast was top quality, heavy on delicious chocolate of course, well worth the caloric intake! Ces 2 critères ont été satisfaits, en plus d'un magnifique cadre au milieu de la nature. "For the price, this property is great. I wouldn't take my family on vacation here, but for 1 night passing through, it checked all the boxes. Though the hotel itself and all its furnishings are very dated, everything was perfectly clean. The bathtub, toilet, flooring, etc. were all likely from the 1960's but their cleaning staff does a great job and I was not bothered by the fact that things were old.
