"One thing that really annoys me as a solo traveller at hotel buffet breakfast is that if you leave your table to go to the buffet counter to get some food etc. when you return to your table it is occupied by someone despite the fact one has tried to indicate the table is still in use. At the Holiday Inn, I left a glass of orange juice on the table it was occupied, either the table clearer removed the orange juice or the couple who took over the table. Only once in all my travels has a hotel used a small card with " table occupied " if one has to return to the buffet counter or get a coffee. Perhaps this is an issue a large company like Expedia can take up with the various Hotel Associations etc."
