"New beds are very squeaky "

"We booked a king accessible suite. When we checked into the hotel the front desk agent confirmed we needed the accessible suite - I said yes (my disabled husband was still making his way inside) When we got to the room and opened the door we realized it was a standard 2 queen bed suite. After just confirming we needed the room we booked - accessible king - we went to talk to the front desk agent. This is when she decides to inform us they have oversold their rooms. I asked why that wasn’t communicated at check in and didn’t even get an apology. The staff needs training in what accessibility is because just fitting a wheelchair through the door does not Equal accessible. The washroom was extremely hard to use with no accessible features and the shower was impossible. No apologies, they blamed Expedia and said “we can see what we can do for a discount” over 24 hours later and I have not received an emailed receipt as promised and my credit card statement shows no discount either. Be careful if you need accessible rooms. This hotel does not respect disabilities. Had I known before checking in I would have checked other hotels in the area, but nope they surely wanted to secure our payment first. "

"We had a short wait for the shuttle from the airport. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. Room was spotless. Breakfast was absolutely amazing- great selection, fresh, really nice staff and very well maintained. Unfortunately, the only drawback- the pool was down for renovations. Since that was a key reason for choosing the Holiday Inn Express it was “a bummer”. In all other areas great place to stay. "

"We had a very long day of travel delays and didn’t arrive in Winnipeg till after 1:00 am. The Sandman shuttle was there to pick us up and take us to the hotel. The staff checked us in quickly and offered an extra hour to our check out to give us time to rest. The room was wonderful and our experience with Sandman was amazing. Thank you so much "
