I have stayed at the Royal Hotel for 3 consecutive years whilst visiting a friend. As a solo traveller I find it so comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful that I would not stay anywhere else in Ross on Wye. Good value, excellent food and very clean and comfortable rooms.

Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly, rooms a bit dated and bed uncomfortable. Went for a wedding at clearwell castle but struggled to get a taxi back to the golf club.

I stayed in the merlin yurt which was nice and clean, comfy bed and duvet. I enjoyed the log burner as it was a novelty to me. The kitchen was basic but had everything you could need.
