"Beautiful honeymoon suite with fantastic mountain views. Some minor negatives: The floorboards were very creaky when walked on, and I’m not a heavy man. Since the suite is above the common area, it makes you feel self-conscious to walk around. It would’ve been nice to have had some changed sheets, and bed made in the room. Proprietors are very friendly, communicate well, and are polite, but not there on premises. There is no front desk service, and it was tricky navigating checking in, as I had poor Internet reception and couldn’t message them effectively to get instructions. But otherwise, a very lovely place with a with a bed-and-breakfast vibe (minus the breakfast)."

"The bottles of water in the room should be free! It sours the experience. I understand- the mini bar is fine but a complimentary bottle of water is standard in any high end hotel"

"Really beautiful place surrounded by mountains and nature. The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, and very zen. As soon as you enter the reception area, you’re welcomed by the lovely scent of pine oil, which immediately gives the place a relaxing feel. The staff were very welcoming, polite, and friendly throughout my stay. My room was beautiful, spotless, and had an amazing mountain view. I really loved the overall design and atmosphere of the property. Everything was almost perfect, except for one small detail: there was a vase of badly wilted peace lilies sitting in the dining room for all three days of my stay. In such a beautiful and carefully designed place, it really stood out and killed the mood a little every time I saw it. 😅 Fresh flowers—or simply removing the wilted ones—would have made a big difference. Other than that, my stay was wonderful. A beautiful, peaceful place to relax, disconnect, and enjoy the mountains and nature. I would definitely recommend Bambuda!"

"Leon was very communicative throughout the booking. We STRONGLY recommend meeting Leon in the town for transportation or escort up to the lodge for initial arrival. It is a very steep climb. The path gets smaller as you go higher. There are no signs letting you know if you are on the right track. Our navigation told us we had arrived when we still had further to go. We rented a 4X4 in Panama City specifically for this booking. DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE the climb up to the location. It is very difficult for someone not familiar with the area."
